5 Easy Home Organization Tips Anyone Can Do

We all talk about "Spring Cleaning" but so many of us go through a "Fall Organization" frenzy as we prepare our homes for the Holiday season. Sometimes all the extra decorations can cause a disruptions to normal daily life routines. So we have put together a short list of 5 Easy Tips to help lower some of the holiday and day to day stresses.

1) Bathroom: Hang a Hair/Shaving Station

Affix small bin with adhesive strips on the inside of cabinet door to create a home for hot tools, brushes, razors, shave cream/gel, hair ties, clips and small wash rags. A magnetic strip keeps bobby pins, nail tools and tweezers from getting lost.

2) Kitchen: Use Cabinet Sides for Storage

Get those wet sponges and scrubbers off your counter top by placing them in desk organizers hung on the side of nearby cabinets. ( an ever-underutilized space) Affix towel hooks as well to always have a hand towel nearby.

3) Laundry: Create a Sorting Station

Start by making a list of how you sort your laundry. This will give you an idea of how many separate bins or baskets you will need. Place store bought shelving in your laundry area to have easy access to each bin and streamline your laundry process.

4) Counter Top Space: Food Jar Storage

If your kitchen lacks storage space your counter will feel the brunt of the problem. So choose clear canisters to store regularly used items such as sugar, flour, coffee, oatmeal, cereal and such. This will take away the clutter of multiple boxes and bags on your much needed food prep counter space.

5) Food Pantry: Label Shelves and Food Storage Containers

Most food pantries are a mash of lf used boxes, unsorted canned goods, spilled baking supplies and a mess of snacking items. How better to sort them than in sealed containers and about baskets for all those smaller items? Throw on a hand written label and you're in business.

With these 5 tips we hope you can get slightly more organized to allow the Holiday season to come with less stress as you look forward to entertaining family, friends and guests in your home. Take one step at a time and work to get that one specific room completed before moving onto a different area of  your house.
